FINDING NEPTUNE
Coney Island seemed timeless and mysterious long before I saw it in person for the first time, only getting a glimpse of it in movies and magazines.
When I came to New York and had a chance to photograph this unique stretch of land, my enchantment with it only became stronger.
For over two decades, I have been exploring and documenting the space between Neptune Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean.
I look at it with a lot of compassion since many generations of New Yorkers made it feel so special. It is a testament to their dreams of happiness and to their sorrow.
